Hunt Engineering Company provided structural engineering services for the design and construction phases professional services of a new cogeneration facility at the Philadelphia Water Department’s Northeast Water Pollution Control Plant. The approximately 16,000 SF facility was designed with a combination of reinforced concrete masonry and structural steel framing atop a foundation system utilizing deep foundations and reinforced concrete pile caps and grade beams. Supplemental structural design was also provided for the internal combustion engine foundations, pre-treatment equipment support, and support for a 5-ton traveling hoist.
